From the 1st July 2019 FreeStyle Libre® Sensors will enter the Drugs for which Discount is Not Deducted (DND) list in the England & Wales Drug Tariff (Part II).
This has been applied following negotiations between the PSNC and the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) after contractors reported to the PSNC that they were making a loss when they were ordering the product directly from the manufacturer Abbott Ltd.
PSNC have confirmed that discount deduction normally applied when community pharmacy contractors dispense medicines and appliances will no longer be applied to FreeStyle Libre® Sensors..
This Tariff Tip applies to all UK Drug Tariff Areas.
