As of 14th January 2020 Microsoft will no longer provide security updates for computer systems running on Windows 7 but will continue to support Windows 10 operating systems. ProScript Connect customers must upgrade all their systems before this deadline to remain supported.
What are the benefits?
The fundamental reason to upgrade is to ensure your patient data will continue to be secure.
Other benefits include:
- Maximise performance – your system will perform better on Windows 10 than Windows 7 meaning you will get the most out of ProScript Connect.
- Adhere to Pharmacy Quality Scheme (PQS) criteria - such as the Warranted Environment Specification (WES).
- Preparing for the future – upgrading to Windows 10 will give you the base for all future developments and system enhancements to ProScript Connect.
How do I check if I need to upgrade?
Some Numark Assist machines already come equipped with a Windows 10 operating system and suitable RAM installed, others may need to purchase these from EMIS Health.

Please note - upgrading through Microsoft directly can result in PMR data loss and multiple chargeable visits. All operating system upgrades must be purchased through EMIS to ensure your PMR system is not affected.
