Introducing Numark's GPhC Regulatory Health Check
Our Regulatory Health Check is designed to help you prepare and ensure you have high standards prior to any official inspections.
Over the last 12 months an average of 16% of community pharmacy inspections had an overall inspection outcome of Standards not all met.
What happens?
We have a dedicated team of regulatory heath check advisers who will arrange to visit your pharmacy to offer a structured review, with a set criteria of questions that looks at the various standards and principles that a GPhC inspection would require. Our team will engage with all pharmacy staff members and ask similar questions to those covered during a GPhC inspection.
This review will help to determine if your pharmacy has the green light on standards to meet the relevant inspection requirements, and if there are areas which need improvement, our team will guide you through the steps to take.
Feedback will be provided during the visit, highlighting any areas for further improvement. Following the visit, you will also receive a comprehensive report, along with an action plan to help you implement any necessary improvements to meet the standards set by the regulator.
Our health check coaching visit provides a RAG rating for each question as follows:
- Green – Evidence provided meets the required standard.
- Amber – Evidence provided indicates that improvement is required, for example, the process needs to be better embedded/ or understood by relevant members of the team.
- Red – Evidence could not be provided or limited evidence which does not meet the required standard.

What does it cost?
The cost for the service is a fixed price of £300 per inspection, including:
- The call out of our Reg. Health Check Advisers.
- Review of your pharmacy and instore feedback during the day.
- A full comprehensive report following GPhC inspection guidelines.
- Robust support with improving those levels that are red flagged on the report.
The service is currently available to mainland England, Scotland and Wales members. We hope to expand the service to Northern Ireland later in the year, so keep an eye out for updates!
